Artist, Marketing & Graphic Design Specialist

I’m an artist and marketing professional based in Maryland. I’ve always enjoyed creating art since my childhood. When I was a toddler, my parents found out I was hard of hearing and I also had a vision impairment. Creating art is therapeutic for me. My grandmother and aunts were artists that inspired me in my creative journey. Our favorite artist was Georgia O’Keeffe. I studied Art Education and Art Therapy at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV and have taken classes at the George Washington University’s (GWU) master’s program in Art Therapy in Washington, DC. When I decided to change my career focus, I took graphic design classes at Montgomery College in Rockville, MD. After graduating, I provided marketing and graphic design services for a variety of industries including mortgage, information technology, and healthcare.

When I work with traditional media, I like to draw and paint flowers, nature, portraits, and landscapes. I enjoy experimenting with a variety of styles including contemporary, impressionists, and renaissance styles. I currently provide freelance art and marketing services for individuals, small businesses, instructors, and nonprofit organizations in the Washington, DC area.
